There was much speculation as to what would happen to McQueen's final collection, as many of the garments were incomplete at the time of his passing. His collections were his visions, his emotions, and his perceptions, and the A/W 2010 collection was conceived to suffer without his creative mind.
But the 16 outfits shown were beautifully crafted, sad reminders of what he achieved in his life time. The medeival theme was combined with a flourish of details referencing his previous collections, such as incorporations of feathers in coxcombs and a golden jacket. I have selected six the looks, each encapsulating a quality of McQueen which we can now only admire and grieve for. May he rest in peace x
